"Looked way better in the photos"
I ordered this cabinet because the pictures made it look sturdy and nice, but it was a letdown once it arrived. The actual color doesn’t really match, it feels cheaper than expected, and the finish already had marks on it. The description wasn’t very clear either, so when I reached out it kind of felt like they were making it my problem instead of acknowledging the listing was misleading. Disappointed overall.
"Tracking was way off"
The tracking was frustrating. It kept showing different dates, and the updates didn’t really explain anything. Most of the time I had no clue where my order even was. Just annoying.

Just a heads up for anyone thinking about ordering here: the after-sales support was a nightmare for me. I had an issue with my order and getting any kind of clear help took forever. Replies were slow, and every time I spoke to someone I got a different answer, so nothing actually got resolved. I kept having to follow up over and over, and it really felt like they were hoping I’d just get tired and drop it. I definitely won’t be ordering again
"Cabinet arrived broken, customer service hasn’t helped"
I ordered a cabinet from Maisons du Monde and it turned up with a huge crack down the side and one corner completely bashed in. The box looked like it had been thrown around before it got to me. I’ve tried dealing with customer service but getting a straight answer has been slow and frustrating. For what it cost, I expected better. Anyway

"Delivery slot kept changing"
I waited around all day and the delivery time just kept moving. In the end no one showed up again which was really frustrating.

Well... it showed up with scratches on it, which was disappointing. The packaging barely had any padding, so it really didn’t do much to protect the item during shipping

"Nice looking table, but disappointing quality"
I ordered a side table because it looked really nice online, but i’m disappointed. In person it feels much cheaper than I expected, and one of the corners was already chipped when it arrived. The paint also scratches way too easily, which is frustrating. For the price, I really thought the quality would be better. I don’t think I’ll be ordering from them again.

"Returning my chair was way more hassle than it should’ve been"
I tried to return a chair that arrived damaged, and the whole process has been frustrating. It wasn’t clear who to contact or what steps to follow, and I’m still waiting on my refund. Maybe this was just my situation, but if returns are usually handled like this, I’d be hesitant to order furniture from them again

"Checkout turned into a hassle"
I was just trying to buy a lamp, and everything seemed fine until I got to checkout. I entered my card details, and this is where it got annoying — the page kept freezing, then suddenly told me the payment had failed. But when I checked my bank, there was already a pending charge showing. There wasn’t any clear message about what happened, no simple way to go back, and my basket disappeared twice. It ended up wasting my whole evening, i don’t feel comfortable ordering from this site again.

"Didn't hold up like I expected"
I was really disappointed with this table. I’ve bought cheaper tables before that lasted way longer, but this one broke after just two weeks of normal use. I expected it to be sturdier, so it was frustrating.

For some reason, this looked way cuter on the website than it did in person. Once I got it, it just felt kind of cheap and a little messy. The colors weren’t quite what I expected either, so the whole design vibe was off for me

"Assembly was a nightmare"
Putting this together was such a headache. The instructions were confusing, half the parts didn’t seem to line up right, and even after finally getting it assembled, it feels like it only works when it wants to. Frustrating overall.

"Items always seem to be out of stock"
I kept finding that almost everything I wanted was out of stock. When I checked back later, the restock dates had changed again, which was frustrating. I was really hoping for quicker updates or a faster response on when things would actually be available.

I was trying to look at furniture and the website just kept bouncing me around through different menus. The filters felt clunky, and some pages loaded in a weird way, which got annoying fast. I mean, the furniture looked nice from what I could actually see, so maybe I’m being dramatic, but after about 10 minutes I was done and just closed it

I’m still waiting for my delivery, and the delivery date has changed more than once without any real update. I don’t expect everything to be perfect, but I do think a basic heads-up is a reasonable standard when there’s a delay.

I browsed maisonsdumonde.com my quick gut check was that a lot of the prices felt too high for what you’re getting. The photos definitely do their job because plenty of pieces look stylish online, but once you compare the materials and overall feel, it just doesn’t click as good value to me.
I kept using the simple “could I find this cheaper somewhere else?” test, and most of the time the answer was yes. Some similar items I’ve seen elsewhere even seem better made. I probably wouldn’t buy from them again unless there was a really big sale.

Not gonna lie, I’m frustrated with how long this refund is taking. I expected it to be sorted out much sooner, but I’m still waiting.

I bought this cabinet, and one small hinge broke. I figured getting a replacement would be simple, but nope — they just told me the part isn’t available. So because they can’t be bothered to supply one tiny piece, the whole cabinet is basically useless now. that’s on them. Such a frustrating waste of money.
